藤沢市とアメリカのマイアミビーチ市は、姉妹友好都市として長く交流を続けています。今年の湘南藤沢市民マラソンには、マイアミビーチ市の小学生の男の子とご家族をお迎えしていました。

今回、湘南学園小学校の６年生と交流する機会に恵まれました。それぞれの市の特徴について紹介したり、互いの都市の共通点である「海」の環境課題についてプレゼンテーションを行ったりしました。

[Exchange with Miami Beach Elementary School Students]

Fujisawa City and Miami Beach City in the U.S. have a long history of exchange as sister cities. This year, we welcomed an elementary school boy and his family from Miami Beach City to the Shonan Fujisawa Citizens Marathon.
